Friends of Victoria Park are a group of volunteers who work to improve the park and its facilities for the enjoyment of everyone in the local community.
We believe that Victoria Park is a hugely valuable green open space that should be protected and improved for a wide range of visitors.
As a formal, not-for-profit community organisation, we help our local authorities use park funds in line with park user priorities.

...NEW PLAY AREA- 2023 survey confirmed huge enthusiam for the brand new Play Area launched in 2022 following strong support from Friends of Victoria Park
...PARK FACILITIES - positive scores for Outdoor Gym, Swirls cafe, new signs, resurfaced paths, cycle racks etc.
...PADDLING POOL - Warwick District Council responded to deterioration by installing superb new facility. Sadly, major technical issues resulted in pool closure for the rest of 2025. Reopening is currently scheduled in time for summer 2026
...LIGHTING - very positive response to 2025's installation of low-level solar lighting around the circuit and timer-controlled discreet lighting over the skatepark
...PARKING - chronic shortage of local parking spaces for park users and bowlers at busy times well recognised - Friends of Victoria Park continues to press Warwick District Council
...PROTECTING THE PARK - for over six years, Friends have been campaigning strongly for a guarantee that the Park can only be used for sport or recreational activities and that it will always be there for the benefit of the community and nature

WHO WE ARE
We are park users and local residents who originally came together informally to protect Victoria Park from excessive vehicle parking - a protection role that has continued until the present day.
As a formal organisation, we have worked hard to understand the preferences of the thousands of visitors who come to Victoria Park and to ensure that this knowledge guides our local authorities in their planning.
Our Executive Committee includes parents, grandparents, tennis players, dog walkers, a park cyclist and a skateboarder, so we hope to be covering most of the key interests of Victoria Park users.
